Illustrated in colour, sepia and black and white, including maps and facsimiles. Decorated by devices and logos on verso of first free endpaper. The author has reprinted in book form, twenty articles published in the Folkestone Express in 1919 and added some later articles from the same paper on the aftermath of the war. Topics include the arrival of the Belgian refugees, Folkestone as a transport port and the air raids of 1917. Extensively illustrated work edited by local historian, Vincent Williams.
