Slight sunning at lower edge of boards, but otherwise a very good copy. Decorated by publisher's device on title page. Historical novel set at the time of the French Revolution,' based upon the life story of the extravagantly beautiful woman, best known as Theresa Tallien [and later as the Princesse de Chimay], who helped to bring about the fall of Robespierre and the collapse of the Reign of Terror.' By Vaughan Wilkins (1890-1959) journalist and historical novelist, who also wrote lost world fantasy novels inspired by Celtic mythology.
