Small 8vo. 6.25 x 4.25 inches. vi + 218 pp. Bound in original green soft buckram, gilt. Rounded corners. All edges green. Marbled endpapers. A little wear to board edge and foxing of preliminaries, but otherwise a very good copy. 1950 signature on verso of first free endpaper. Illustrated by frontispiece, by plates numbered in text and by folding plate at end. Detailed description of the techniques of dressing artificial flies for trout followed by a comprehensive name index by Roger Woolley (1877-1959) a expert fly tyer. The first edition was published 1932. A publication of The Fishing Gazette, which appeared 1877-1966.
