Decorated by publisher's device on half title. First edition of the nineteenth published fiction title of KIngsley Amis (1922-95), novelist, poet and critic. A writer returns to his native Wales and re-associates with his former friends in the pub, enabling Amis to examines the themes of Welsh culture, love, marriage and ageing.
