FIRST EDITION. 8vo. 7.5 x 5.25 inches. 469 pp. Bound in original blue cloth, with black titles and device on font board. in unclipped yellow dust wrapper, with edge wear, including head and tail of spine, which is sunned. A little wear to extremities and foxing of edges; otherwise a very good copy. Negley Farson (1890-1960) was a US author, who lived an adventurous life around the world before finally settling in England. He is best known as a writer of fishing literature and his Gone Fishing (1942) is regarded as a classic. This novel was inspired by his residence in Cowichan Lake, Vancouver Island and its community.
