Light foxing, largely confined to edges, otherwise a very good copy. 1982 presentation copy signed by both authors. Illustrated by 6 text figures and 6 tables. Study of multiple personality disorder by two US psychiatrists, Corbett Hilsman Thigpen (1919-99) and Hervey Milton Checkley (1903-84), best known for his The Mask of Sanity (1941). A film about the patient called Eve was made in 1957, the year of publication, which later led to controversy and litigation. The authors' version based on the McGraw Hill edition of 1957. Signed and dedicated by both authors.
